GitHub Pages hosts static websites (HTML, CSS, JS) for free, straight from a repo. It's good for portfolios and simple sites. It can't run a backend server.

1. Push your site (with an index.html) to GitHub
2. Repo -> Settings -> Pages
3. Source: Deploy from a branch
4. Branch: main, folder: / (root)
5. Save

Your site goes live at:
https://username.github.io/repo-name/

# Repo named username.github.io -> https://username.github.io/
